Hello Teun, what is your experience with teaching Dutch? And how do you work, what is your method?
My role as a Dutch language tutor began with interactions with international students. They were able to rely on English. However, in Apeldoorn and the surrounding area, it is important to be able to express yourself in Dutch. That is why I started teaching Dutch.
At first, I focused on the similarities and differences with English. However, at a certain point, the focus shifts to the distinctive features of the Dutch language. This mainly involves everyday conversation. However, it is also possible to focus on a specific subject area. For example, I recently focused on terms used in the circular economy.
